| Aeration:
Aeration is one of the best
things that we do as preventative medicine for lawns in Northeast
Ohio. Aeration loosens the soil and allows air, water, and nutrients
to reach your lawn roots. It is also the best way to help correct
the worst problem we have in this area à Excessive thatch
buildup. Why is thatch a problem? Common Lawn Problems

Natural
Grub Control :
White grubs can damage your lawn by chewing
up the roots of your grass. We've found that healthy lawns, fertilized
organically and aerated twice per year, have less of a problem with
grubs, than typical chemically fertilized lawns. They can be a problem
anywhere however.
Our Grub-Away application is totally natural,
non-toxic and won't harm beneficial organisms. One application in
the late summer or early fall will take care of your grub problem
for an entire year. Note: Our grub control is much more effective
when thoroughly watered in after an application.Back

Soil Analysis:
In some cases plants just dont perform the way we want them
to. Have you always had a certain problem area in the lawn? Are
you planting a new garden? Do you want to plant new trees
or shrubs? A soil test can help provide answers and solutions to
these situations. Weve found that our fertilizers can correct
minor deficincies, but if there is a major problem it cant
hurt to get a better picture of your soil.. If youre thinking
adding new plants, or planting a garden, it is always a good idea
to soil test first then match the plants to the soil you have instead
of trying to change the soil to match the plants you pick out. Back

Lawn Renovation
& Replacement :
If your lawn is in bad shape it may be worth
it to give it a little rejuvination. There a few different options
that we offer, it would be a good idea to contact us for a personal
consultation so we can inspect and recommend an approach for your
needs.
Aeration & Overseeding
If your lawn isnt to bad, we can aerate and overseed to breathe
some new life into it. This is the most economical renovation option.
Well aerate your lawn heavily, and follow by broadcasting
high quality grass seed over the entire lawn. All lawns (even beautiful
lawns) can benefit from occasional overseeding. Expected Results:
You will see an increased thickness of your lawn, the newer varieties
will be more resistant to insects, disease, and other problems.
Light Renovation & Replacement
A Light Renovation involves a very light tilling of the soil, soil
balancing, and re-seeding into the fresh soil. It will not fix major
drainage or grading problems, but will give you a new lawn look.
Note: If you have undesirable grasses (bentrass,
nimblewill, or southern grasses) or heavy weed populations we recommend
using soil solarization or roundup to eliminate them prior to renovation.
Soil solarization involves covering the lawn
area with clear plastic for one two months beginning in late
July. Solarization is great because it doesnt involve chemicals,
it kills the undesirable grasses, weeds, and weed seeds in the soil.
If you arent worried about totally removing
the undesirable species, we can just till in everything and establish
a stand of healthy turf, which will do a good job of combating undesirable
species.
Total Renovation & Replacement
We recommend this option for large lawns or lawns with grading problems.
Well till the soil and add topsoil and organic matter where
necessary in order to prepare your lawn for seeding.
