We did major landscaping in 2000, including installing new front and side lawns. Although we tried a number of traditional weed and feed products, including the best selling product in Ohio, we were not pleased with the results. The lawn was patchy; we still had a weed problem; and we were worried about run-off from the chemical fertilizers. We were also concerned about the long-term effects on the soil.
Since we have been using the Good Nature 1Ctransition 1D program along with aeration, we have seen a dramatic improvement in our lawn. It looks healthier, resists drought better and has filled in very nicely. At the same time, we feel good about applying natural, earth-friendly products on our lawn.
We have been pleased by the professional service of the Good Nature staff, and have recommended them to our friends.
"A few years after our lawn renovation we began to notice that dogs would stop their walking owners so they could roll in our grass. Our neighbors have told us that our lawn is the only lawn in the neighborhood in which their dog performs this rolling act. Our neighbors love the lawn because is deep green and thick - apparently dogs are into that as well.
Last week, a neighbor with three Italian greyhounds stopped in front of our house for the obligatory roll in the grass and I happened to be trimming the edges. Not only were the dogs rolling, but their 8 year old son decided to sit down in the grass and start a conversation. The parents looked curious about the grass and talked about how they are involved in the "sustainability movement." When I told them that my lawn was chemical free, they were in disbelief. They said, "I always assumed that this yard was heavily nuked with chemicals." I also told them that I didn't water the grass for the entire year even though it was still so green. Surrounding lawns had already burned out because of the lack or rain from the previous two weeks. Alec always told me that Tuff Turf would tolerate the heat and dry better than other lawns and that has proven to be an understatement. We love our front lawn and so do dogs, kids and their parents."
Having my front lawn look good is a priority to me. Good Nature has given me the lush green look I want without any chemicals and fulfills my personal commitment to "go organic wherever" I can. The few weeds I have are worth the satisfaction of knowing that I am not damaging the environment or harming the birds and other animals in my yard.
I also like supporting working with a locally owned and operated company that provides a personal touch.
I have recommended Good Nature to my neighbors and friends and will continue to do so.
Working with Good Nature makes good common sense. It's an obvious decision for me to make the healthier choice--healthier for my kids who use our lawn like a playroom; healthier for my grass and bushes which grow strong from the roots up (not superficially from the top down); and healthier for the ground water that flows into streams and rivers and ends up in Lake Erie, our source of drinking water.
Since we began working with Good Nature three years ago, my lawn has become more lush and remains a healthy shade of green, even through the harsh summer heat and occasional drought. The grass seems heartier and better able to withstand stress. I've also noticed benefits from the deep-root tree fertilization program. My rhododendrons bloom more profusely, as do my rose bushes, which also have become less prone to brown spotting. Moreover, I feel like we 19re supporting the health of our two magnificent large trees.
Additionally, it gives me great satisfaction to partner with a company of smart, responsive people who care deeply about their customers and their mission. The question for me is NOT "Why would you use Good Nature?" The question is "Why wouldn't you?"

“ I hired Good Nature to take out my old lawn , prepare the soil, and then reseed it. Alec, the president, talked to me about the service. He pointed out that the grass seed available now is much more hardier and a better choice for my lawn. To try and mix that in with other grasses was never going to get the same results as starting from scratch. Good Nature also had a payment plan that made it very affordable. I was able to make a major investment and manage my finances. ”
