Alec McClennan, Good Nature Organic Lawn Care’s founder and CEO, has shared his passion for chemical-free lawns since 1999. He is a frequent speaker on the topic at conferences and other events. Alec just took part in two events this past October.
On October 12, Alec visited Chicago’s IMPACT Conference that was held at the Chicago Botanical Garden. The Illinois Landscape Contractors Association partnered with the Botanical Garden to organize the event which focused on sustainable and ecological landscape practices. Alec presented during a morning breakout session on marketing organic land care, helping landscapers learn more about how to offer and communicate with their clients about their organic lawn and land care services.

Alec also attended the Green Industry Expo (GIE+Expo) in Louisville, Kentucky at the Kentucky Exposition Center on October 21. This event is the largest in the industry, with over 1,000 exhibitors, demonstrations, and seminars. Alec provided a seminar geared toward Parks and Recreation Managers about how to evaluate their turf and help them understand the process of transitioning their parks and athletic fields from chemically treated to organic maintenance.
