Hello! I started Good Nature in 1999 with the help of my parents who encouraged me and let me live in their basement for a few years. Since then, thanks to open minded clients and hardworking, committed, and smart coworkers, we've been able to bring our healthy organic lawn care approach to more people in more cities than I ever thought possible back in 1999. Thanks everyone!
About me. I grew up in the country, outside of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Growing up, I put our lawn to the test, playing just about any sport you could play on it. Mostly football, but also soccer, baseball, running bases - you name it. You could say I developed my passion for lawns and especially lawns safe to play on at an early age.
Today my wife and I are back in Chagrin Falls with our son. In our spare time we like working in the yard and playing touch football. Not much has changed in the last 20 years!
A Cleveland native I have always had an interest in the outdoors and the environment. After graduating from Cleveland State University I held sales positions with local companies selling computers and computer software and industrial tools. After becoming a sales manager for an industrial distributor I subsequently lost my job after 9/11. Shortly thereafter, I contacted Good Nature Organic Lawn Care and was hired on to do sales, applications and office work (a little bit of everything). I am a licensed applicator and Certified Turfgrass Professional doing mostly customer service work. I also help to organize and present seminars to local groups and garden clubs on organic lawn and landscape care.
I enjoy working out, playing recreational sports like basketball, softball, football. Also like Watching Browns, Indians and Monsters games. I'm a Certified Applicator through the State of Ohio and a Certified Turfgrass Professional through the Professional Landcare Network. I have a B.A. from Kent State in Communication Studies
Hi, I'm Michael Burton. I am the mechanic for Good Nature Organic Lawn Care. I was born and raised in Willoughby Ohio in 1982. Currently I am a Cleveland Heights home owner. I came to Good Nature to repair and improve Good Nature's trucks and equipment and to improve the overall effectiveness of its service department so that our equipment works better longer. I like working at Good Nature because of the friendly people, great customers and the positive impact and growth potential of organic lawn care. In my free time I enjoy racing, playing drums, outdoor activities and working in my garage or the yard.

Hello! I grew up in Parkman Ohio with five miles of woods and the Grand RIver to stomp around in throughout my childhood. I have always had a great appreciation for everything natural. I started working in Sales at Good Nature in the spring of 2015, the busy time of the year! I had been selling business to business products for many years and was looking for change. After meeting with Alec and hearing the passion he had for his business, I decided to join the team! What a great move for me! Learning about organic products, talking with our clients and giving them solutions that offer a safer and healthier approach to lawn care, has enriched my life.
I grew up in Independence, Ohio and currently reside there with my wonderful husband Jim, our dog Willy and cat Chewy. They all appreciate the organic approach as well!
Hi, I'm Jen. I started with Good Nature after a fortunate meeting with Alec McClennan; post-graduation from Baldwin Wallace University for spring 2015. I was so excited for the opportunity to come to Good Nature! I have always had a passion for animals, nature and the environment & Good Nature has offered me the opportunity to follow my passion to not only make a difference personally but also assist others in leading more sustainable lifestyles. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my husband & fur-son (cat) Nemo I love to read, watch documentaries and volunteer my time with different non-profit, environmental & special interest organizations.

Most of my professional career has been in the green industry including working for landscape and lawn care companies, a retail garden center, and as an urban forester, and as a biology teacher.

“ We have been pleased by the professional service of the Good Nature staff, and have recommended them to our friends. ”
“ We love our front lawn and so do dogs, kids and their parents. ”
“ I also like supporting working with a locally owned and operated company that provides a personal touch. I have recommended Good Nature to my neighbors and friends and will continue to do so. ”
“ The question for me is NOT "Why would you use Good Nature?" The question is "Why wouldn't you?" ”
“ I hired Good Nature to take out my old lawn , prepare the soil, and then reseed it. Alec, the president, talked to me about the service. He pointed out that the grass seed available now is much more hardier and a better choice for my lawn. To try and mix that in with other grasses was never going to get the same results as starting from scratch. Good Nature also had a payment plan that made it very affordable. I was able to make a major investment and manage my finances. ”
