Meet The Team

Hello! I started Good Nature in 1999 with the help of my parents who encouraged me and let me live in their basement for a few years. Since then, thanks to open minded clients and hardworking, committed, and smart coworkers, we've been able to bring our healthy organic lawn care approach to more people in more cities than I ever thought possible back in 1999. Thanks everyone!

About me. I grew up in the country, outside of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Growing up, I put our lawn to the test, playing just about any sport you could play on it. Mostly football, but also soccer, baseball, running bases - you name it. You could say I developed my passion for lawns and especially lawns safe to play on at an early age.

Today my wife and I are back in Chagrin Falls with our son and daughter. In our spare time we like working in the yard and playing touch football. Not much has changed in the last 20 years!

I chose to work for Good Nature because I believe we need to be better stewards of our planet, and Good Nature’s values align with mine. I have a bachelor’s degree in biology from Hiram College and I am an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist. I was also an agroforestry volunteer in the U.S. Peace Corps in Paraguay and the Philippines.

I am married with one son. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, eating food, and drinking local beer! My favorite outdoor activities are camping, hiking, gardening, and cross-country skiing.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I believe in the mission and ideals of the company. Also, I see the growth potential in the Organic Lawn Care industry as a whole. I have my Masters in Human Resource Management and Bachelors in Business Administration, both from DeVry University.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife and daughter, as well as our extremely energetic Cavalier King Charles. During the Summer I pitch in a local amateur baseball league, as well as play softball in the Fall.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I needed to make a change in my life and in myself, and Good Nature was a perfect fit. In my free time, I love going shooting and collecting old guns. I have three dogs and two cats. I am also married with two children. Other hobbies of mine are hunting, fishing, bowling, and golfing.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I really liked the company’s idea of trying to make the world a better place by using organic alternatives in lawn care. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science, specializing in Water Quality from Ohio State University. I also certified by the state to apply pesticides. In my personal time, I love to read, play games and watch movies. I married my best friend, Sydney, who also works at Good Nature and we have a dog named Nyx, who has become the company mascot.

I've always been interested in helping the planet and living a more environmentally sustainable lifestyle, so working for Good Nature really aligns with that. I'm a U.S. Air Force Veteran and have a degree in Broadcasting from the Ohio Center of Broadcasting. I'm currently training for my 7th marathon, so I spend a lot of time running... and then running some more! Other than that, I enjoy  hiking, traveling to new locations, and coaching/watching baseball games with my 15-year-old son, Logan.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I genuinely care about the environment and making a difference in this world.

I chose to work at Good Nature to learn more about soils and to get a better understanding of how weeds, grass and plants work. I enjoy working outside in the fresh air and I felt very welcomed when joining the team. I am equipped with my DOT medical certification.

Some of my personal interests include spending time with my kids, going on adventures in nature, macro photography, building vivariums for my frogs, writing and music production. Among my favorite activities are basketball, baseball, fishing, hiking and exploring new places.

I chose to work at Good Nature because it provides an opportunity to do something I can feel intrinsically good about. I received my Associate of Arts Degree and Associate of Psychology Degree from Stark State, and my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Kent State.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading outside, hiking, and playing sports. My girlfriend and I moved in together, and she brought her personality-filled cat to live with us. In the near future, we hope to add a dog, turtle, and/or jumping spider (her idea).

I chose to work at Good Nature because it offers unique services and enforces a rapidly growing organic approach within the horticulture/ lawn care industry. This job also offers a healthy, active lifestyle while working in the field. Prior to joining the team, I received my Associates of Science Degree from Cuyahoga Community College and later transferred to Oregon State University (eCampus/ online) to obtain my Bachelor's Degree of Science in Horticulture. I also worked at the Cleveland Metro Parks Zoo as a Horticulture Assistant to obtain working internship credits.

Working at Good Nature was appealing to me because I want to help conserve and protect our environment by guiding others in organic land management practices. I have a Bachelors degree in Biology and Conservation Ecology from BGSU, and am also a certified Commercial Drone Pilot.

I am an outdoor lover, Cleveland sports fanatic, and proud cat owner. Some of my favorite hobbies include hiking, bird watching, pickleball, video and board games, and amateur woodworking. It's my personal opinion that Lord of the Rings is the greatest trilogy of all time.

I have always had an interest in working outdoors, but I wanted to be a part of a company with great values, trying to make a positive impact. I began working with Good Nature (Cleveland) shortly after college, back in 2006. In 2008, Alec and I started up our Good Nature Columbus operation. It is very gratifying to be able to offer our great services to more and more customers each year. In college, I majored and graduated with a Finance degree from Ohio University, in Athens. I am an ODA-certified applicator and a Landscape Industry Certified Lawn Care Technician through the National Association of Landscape Professionals.

Currently, I live in Westerville with my wife, Mary, and our 3 children. We also have a dog, Cos. Family is first for me! Growing up in the Cleveland area, I was born into my Cleveland sports fandom, but I embrace it all the same. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, exercise, and exploring new areas with my family. I am also an active practitioner in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Any other spare time, I am a novice carpenter and enjoy building projects around the house and yard.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I enjoy helping people and meeting new people. I have always had an interest in turf - I grew up working on a golf course with my dad’s grounds crew. I wanted to continue in the ‘Green Industry’ and Good Nature provides a good product and service without the harmful chemicals, for a safer lawn! In college, I majored in Turf Grass Science and Agribusiness at The Ohio State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Agriculture. I am also an ODA-certified applicator and a Landscape Industry Certified Technician through the National Association of Landscape Professionals.

At home, I have a Golden Retriever, Zander who is my homie. I have 12 tattoos and counting. I believe that they are a great way to express one’s self and share individuality through art. Each has a meaning and a story! In my free time, I love to hike, kayak, draw, play video games, and read (a lot of nerd stuff). I also enjoy hanging out with friends. I love craft beers, especially here in Columbus. There are so many great breweries to try!

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I enjoy working outside, meeting new people, and being around animals/pets. Good Nature is a quality company with great leadership, not to mention the perk of working without chemicals! I have been a Lawn Technician with Good Nature since 2009. Currently, I am an ODA-Certified Applicator and a Landscape Industry Certified Technician through the National Association for Landscape Professionals.

I am married to a wonderful woman named Sarah and together we have a great son. I enjoy all Ohio State sports! I have been an Ohio State University football usher for 15 years. Other than that, I love swimming and all beach activities. I especially love family trips to the beach in the Summer!

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I have a passion for the Green Industry. I also wanted to broaden my skill set by trying something new. I am currently an ODA-Certified Applicator.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because the world needs more successful organic companies in it. I completed Dr. Elaine Ingham’s Soil Symposium series, and have extensively studied native edible plants.

My mantra is that healthy living begins with healthy soil! My interests include sustainable living, social justice, as well as protecting and enjoying our natural resources. I have a big family, consisting of my brothers and sisters and their children. My favorite outdoor activity would definitely be backpacking! I also enjoy playing video games, going to festivals, and adrenaline sports.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I love to help people. I have always cared about our environment and wanted to take care of the world we all share.

Previously in my career, I earned my Food Safety Certification with the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals. I have also volunteered multiple times with Living Lands and Waters.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, gardening, camping, working on cars, and watching movies. I also love animals of all kinds, especially reptiles.

The outdoors has always been a huge part of my life and has been one of the primary factors in who I am today as a person. Finding a company that not only allows me to work outdoors, but also helps me support the environment, was almost too perfect to be true.

I graduated high school with a diploma of Distinction in Mathematics. I currently have completed 3 semesters at Columbus State, but with all my prerequisites done, I have taken a step back to figure out the exact direction I want to take with my degree. I am currently certified in First Aid and CPR.

My personal interests include spending time with my twin brother and the other non-twins in my family. I enjoy quiet nights with my girlfriend and our dog and cat. My favorite outdoor activity would probably have to be teaching children on Ohio's wildlife and geography. I spent the last five summers working as a counselor at a sleep away camp, that had a focus on education of basic OLS and the surrounding wildlife. While indoors, my favorite hobby would have to be reading. I have always been an avid reader and have recently finished one of my favorite fantasy series by Robin Hobb.

Working for Good Nature appealed to me because I was looking for a change of pace. I have also been pursuing getting back involved with the Boy Scouts of America.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and playing board games. Outdoor activities I love include camping, hunting, and fishing. I also love learning, and am an avid reader. 

Working for Good Nature was a natural choice. I've always been very big into the outdoors and nature period. My brother and I grew up in the creeks of Columbus catching all different sorts of bugs, reptiles, amphibians, and things of that nature. This led my father to quit his "big boy" job and start his own business where he does educational programs with reptiles (PT Reptiles). This, of course, led me to be more passionate about biology and the great outdoors. I really believe in the idea that we need to focus more on sustainability worldwide, as well as conserving our environment. I graduated from Upper Arlington High School and went to Ohio State for 2 years, studying psychology and business.

I really enjoy being outside and getting a little lost in nature, spending quality time with my friends, playing board games with my family, and doing pretty much anything with my girlfriend, Mary. I have a dog named Paco, who is 12.5, and I've had him ever since he was a puppy. My hobbies include hiking, kayaking, yoga, photography, going to the gym, walking my dog, music festivals, skiing, playing computer games, and community service.

Good Nature's mission to eliminate the spread of toxic chemicals resonated with me. Their efforts to increase the number of people using organic treatments may someday reach a tipping point, and a holistic, organic approach to lawn care will be accepted as the norm. This was a movement I wanted to be part of. I founded the Environmental Awareness Club at Hilliard Davidson High School in 2003, and played Saxophone for the State Champion Wildcat Marching Band. I studied Hospitality Management at Ohio University while supporting my beloved Marching 110.

My partner and I have a dreamsicle colored cat named Pi (born on Pi day, March 14), who keeps us busy. We have visited 35 of the 50 states together in our Motorhome. As train enthusiasts, we like to take the Amtrak every now and then out of Chicago to see the countryside. It's a great way to travel, and a relaxing alternative to driving. My partner and I are also avid Disc Golfers, movie buffs, and enjoy video gaming. I'm a news junkie, and I enjoy comedy podcasts when I've had enough of current events.

I like working for Good Nature because it feels good to contribute to a growing company that cares deeply about its people.  Equally, Good Nature is making a measurable positive impact on our environment through its commitment to the organic approach. I have a Bachelor’s of Science from Purdue University. I also have a Lean Six Sigma Certification.

I currently live in the heart of downtown Indy in the cultural district of Fountain Square with my wife and our Boston Terrier, Roxie. I am an avid Boilermaker (Boiler Up!!!!) and a Colts fan. I enjoy staying active outdoors, traveling and spending time with my family and friends.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I want to do my part in helping the world become a little greener, as well as discover ways to improve myself.

I have been around the green industry, particularly Tree Care, for 5+ years. Learning the biology and personality of plants and how the world affects them and vice versa has greatly increased my appreciation for plants as being our living neighbors on Earth. To hear about a company that genuinely cares about maintaining the Earth through organic methods was spectacular to me.

Good Nature has such a good-natured and supportive team that works hard to ensure the products and services are both effective and organic. I hope to continue to learn from this noble-minded community.

I am certified for Film and Animation Production, and I also passed the certification test for becoming a Registered Technician. I keep up with the latest research provided by Purdue University regarding Tree Care practices.

Along with a genuine enjoyment for working in nature, I also enjoy exploring park trails, baking treats, and listening to music. I enjoy instrumental orchestral music and also classics from the 70's. I have no pets of my own, but I do like animals, although I find mosquitoes very difficult to get along with. My most successful baked treat is English toffee cookies, but my favorite dessert is blueberry cheesecake.

I believe in protecting the environment while promoting healthier landscapes without relying on harmful chemicals. Working for Good Nature allows me to contribute meaningfully to both the community and the planet. Prior to joining the team, I studied for 3 years at Purdue University.

I love hanging out with my daughter. I enjoy learning about native plants and animals. I have a particular interest in native trees. Going on walks with my daughter in the neighborhood or on trails is one of my favorite things to do. I also love tending to my native wildflower garden, camping, kayaking, and any outdoor activity. I am excited to finally have a career that makes a difference in the areas where I want to effect change. A career that feels personally fulfilling will be a nice change for me.

I chose to work for Good Nature because of their commitment to making our world more organic, healthy, and beautiful! Good Nature shares the passion I have for the environment and it's amazing to work with like-minded people. I am a recent graduate from Indiana State University with a Bachelor's of Science and Education. I am a certified teacher in the state of Indiana while having equal passion for the environment and teaching. I have taught environmental education both locally and around the world.

In my free time, my interests range from coaching or watching baseball, hanging out with my friends or family, playing with my two dogs, or doing something creative. My favorite outdoor activities are baseball, hiking, biking, planting flowers, and concerts. When I'm inside, I love to cook, watch movies and play the occasional video/board game(s).

Working for Good Nature appealed to me, as I've always cared about working with nature and preserving and enhancing the health and integrity of the environment. Having previously worked for the Brookfield Zoo, I have done a lot of animal enrichment work, and tended to the landscaping for the entire zoo. I also worked alongside an Arborist for a few years, which gave me experience and education with all types of plants. To date, I have planted over 30 trees. I am currently a student at Triton College studying to get my Facilities Engineering Technology Degree.

I would say my passion is animals, as I love working with them and being around them as much as possible. I also love being outdoors, and washing my vehicle, which brings me joy and peace.

I was drawn to working for Good Nature because the company's values align with my own. I have an interest in plants and organic remedies, and am very passionate about living an organic lifestyle. It appears to be a great place to work, with an admirable mission to leave the world better than we found it. I graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Botany.

I chose to work for Good Nature because our commitment to environmental preservation and positive company culture mirrors my own personal beliefs. I also love to work outside! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from York College of Pennsylvania. I'm a Landscape Industry Certified Turfgrass Professional and I am an ODA-certified Commercial Applicator.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, daughter and our three cats. If I’m not riding a bike, I’m probably busy taking sports way too seriously, or trying to explore new restaurants and microbreweries.

I chose to work at Good Nature because I love to work outside and experience the outdoors. It is an added bonus that our company helps the environment. Currently, I have a Commercial Applicator License. 

In my free time, I love to play (and listen) to music, cook, spend time with friends and family and travel. Some other hobbies of mine are playing guitar, brewing beer and cooking food!

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I enjoy lawn care and like the idea of doing it without chemicals. Prior to joining the Team, I earned my Associates Degree from Western Michigan University.

Some of my favorite activities include playing pickleball, longboarding, fishing, flipping furniture, watching movies, and enjoying comedy. I have a large family, and I live with my girlfriend Paige and dog Molly.

I chose to work at Good Nature because I wanted to grow an organization that my skills could make a real impact. I wanted to contribute to the growth. The environmental impact is fantastic as well! I graduate from the University of Akron with a Bachelor’s in Science in Accounting.

I am married with three kids and two grandchildren. We have two dogs and two cats. I enjoy cars, traveling and game nights with my friends.

I chose to work for Good Nature because I wanted to help provide a healthy environment while educating others on the importance of going organic. At home, I have a rescue dog named Brownie (named after the Browns). I enjoy working out daily and being active. I always love hanging around my friends. In my personal time, I enjoy hiking with my dog in the metros and playing basketball in a league. You can pretty much find me enjoying the outside weather all the time!

I wanted to work at Good Nature because of the welcoming work environment, friendly coworkers, and the genuine care the company has for its employees. I currently have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.

In my personal time, I really try to stay active by doing things like hiking, biking, and lifting weights. I also enjoy spending time trying new restaurants in Cleveland, reading, and going on adventures to discover new things. Other than that, you can find me swimming, road tripping, and exploring all there is about Cleveland!

I wanted to work for Good Nature because it was an organic lawn care company, instead of a chemical lawn care company. I am a Certified Turfgrass Professional and I graduated from Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s in Communication. I have also been a member of the Sierra Club since 1998.

I have a wife, two kids, and a dog. In my personal time, I enjoy doing yoga, kayaking, going bird watching, bicycling, gardening, and other environmental activities.

I wanted to work for Good Nature to help people navigate the world or organic and natural options when it comes to lawn care and gardening. I have a background and degree in Sustainable Agriculture. Additionally, I've worked on organic and regenerative farms within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, where I received a certificate for the New Farmers Academy.

I would like to possibly own my own land to be able to set up a small orchard where I can also raise chickens, hogs, and rabbits. I enjoy hiking, biking, gardening, and reading.

My values very much align with the mission of Good Nature Organic Lawn Care. Additionally, I was immediately drawn to the company, as it seemed very welcoming and employee-focused.

I have an Associate Science Degree from Ohio State University in Animal Science. I am married and have one bulldog. I like to go camping and hunting. Also my family are gear heads, so I'll help my brother and dad with their small drag racing truck. Some hobbies that interest me include woodworking, adventures in the great outdoors, astronomy, cooking, cars and trucks. I also enjoy watching and attending hockey games. It's a dream of mine to travel more and visit other countries.

I chose to work for Good Nature because I have 2 children and it is important to me to protect the environment that they will grow up in. After learning about Good Natures' values I knew this would be a great fit for me. This is my second year with the company and I know I made the right choice! I love working with our incredible clients who are supportive and dedicated to our mission of making the world a better place! I'm looking forward to continuing on my journey here and expanding and growing with the company!

I chose to work at Good Nature because I've always been concerned for the environment, and I have been conscious of the impact my choices have on it. Having worked on a golf course for several years and played golf since middle school, it’s disappointing to see the widespread use of toxic chemicals to preserve and enhance the landscape. Similar destructive methods have been used residentially for years, and it's important to me to help change this. I believe in Good Nature’s mission that we can help folks have a beautiful lawn and landscape without harsh chemicals or destroying wildlife.

I graduated from Ohio University with a major in Environmental Science and Sustainability, which I've found to be very helpful in my roles at Good Nature. I ran a first-of-its-kind student golf league at Ohio University with 42 members, and growing attendance each year. I was also President of the Bobcat Spikeball Club, which hosted large yearly tournaments and brought in Spikeball teams from different schools across the Midwest.

In my free time, I love to play golf with my dad or my younger brother. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music, and love spending time with my family and two dogs (Stella, and Jaxson). Activities that make me happy include exploring, playing video games, working out, and gaining new experiences, whether that’s through education, travel, or any other means.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I had heard such amazing things about the company and the work environment. I also believe in the sustainability of the product and the impact on the environment. I have a Master's in Education and taught at Kent State for a number of years.

I love the outdoors, especially hiking and kayaking. My family spends as much time outside as we can. I read a lot; I love mysteries and biographies, but will read just about anything. I love to paint, draw and craft. My husband Matt and I have two daughters, Emily who is a college Junior and Abby who is a high school senior. We have a neurotic rescue dog named Pippin (after the Lord of the Rings character) who I adore! It brings me happiness to be part of a great team.
